Un papillon sauvage is a captivating intrigue that
mixes an unreal meeting at the municipal library,
the discovery of a disconcerting book, the apparently non-sense quest of a father, a lost love…
We follow the path of a rebel soul, the narrator, at 14 as well as at 94 years old! Un papillon sauvage is a book on the freedom of thought at all ages, on the will to follow our own passions whatever the context is, and on how reading can change a destiny…
The small town of Galforquin is ugly and boring to death. To survive it Miky, an indomitable-spirited boy, has found no better way than to live a wild troublemaker’s life. After being threatened again with expulsion from his school, Miky is forced by his mother to pass all the summer at the municipal library, under surveillance from the dreadful librarian Ms. Foinsec. Against all odds, he will make there a providential meeting.
A few dozen years later, as he comes back to the library to search for one last secret, the old man Miky has become remembers the summer of his 14th year.
Un papillon sauvage tells without fearing of the refusal to subdue, and of the force one can draw to forge his own destiny.
