Madoré Modeste
For over two decades, Modeste Madoré has divided his artistic endeavors between ceramics and illustration, always exploring the joyous, colorful world of childhood. The animal kingdom is a boundless and stimulating source of inspiration for him. Feathered, furred, or covered in scales, creatures of all species are the heart of his work. After multiple gallery shows as a ceramicist, Modeste illustrated over twenty picture books and games for children, several of which have won prizes and been translated into other languages. In 2016, he founded Éditions à la gomme to produce games for children, publish his coloring books, and now publish picture books for readers young and old alike.
