Among the animals of the forest, everybody knows Richard the raccoon is by far the fussiest. He sorts the leaves according to their size and colour, he organises the chestnut burrs... His friends make fun of him a little. But when some men decide to come have a picnic and leave their garbage, it's the entire forest that's in danger ! Richard's cleverness, along with his knack for removing chewing gum from wood or cans from the muzzles of overly curious bear, will save his friends' lives... And teach them to take care of where they live ! A picture book full of inventiveness with regards to respecting nature and cleanliness.
The illustrations by Clothilde Goubely, done with mixed techniques, as well as the blending of natural materials, give a realist dimension to this picture book.
