Splash Boots... and other little troubling delights
By Annie Agopian & Albertine
A collection of 25 texts offering the reader varied game situations intensely experienced by children. Moments which are funny, happy, mischievous and sometimes hard, but always deliciously lively !
These instants which make up childhood, when worry can mix with joy, fear with elation, and jubilation with doubt, are illustrated with all of Albertine's sensitivity and delicacy.
Annie Agopian published her first work for youth in 1994. Since then she has published over twenty books for children, notably with the publishers Rouergue and Didier Jeunesse. She also animates meetings/readings for elementary classes, as well as writing workshops for children, youth and adults. She has also published Don't Fall with A pas de loups publications. She lives in the Gard region.
Albertine was born in 1967 in Dardagny, in the ge-venoise countryside, where she currently lives. During her training, she took classes at the School of Decorative Arts and then at the Superior Visual Art School of Geneva. Since 1990, she has been a silk screen printer and illustrator. She has published around fifty books principally with La joie de lire, with her accomplice Germano Zullo, and Circus with A pas de loups. She is the 2020 Hans Christian Andersen laureate prize winner.
