Bepi, a sea bream, and Sarad, a blue crab, are picked up by a Canadair aircraft in the Venice lagoon and dropped into a stream in the Alps. Far from home, the two protagonists experience many extraordinary adventures: rushing rivers, impassable dams, dangerous predators… Thanks to their mutual help, the new friendships formed during their bumpy journey, and the philosophical maxims that inspire Bepi to take courage, they finally manage to return to their destination: Bepi is reunited with his beloved Gina, and Sarad is welcomed back by his parents, whom he had lost on a cargo ship in the Suez Canal.
The adventures of Bepi the philosopher and his friend Sarad become an exciting opportunity to introduce children to philosophical thinking. Thanks to the maxims of the great thinkers of the past, the two friends manage to face a journey fraught with danger and return home to their loved ones.
