Doumont Gwenaëlle

Gwenaëlle Doumont graduated from the Saint-Luc School of Graphic Arts in Belgium. Since her first publication, Je suis une lionne (I Am a Lioness), published by Philomène in 2013 (text by Sandrine Beau), her work has reflected a genuine concern with clichés, particularly sexist ones. She has continued and enriched this reflection at Talents Hauts, where she illustrated the “J’aime pas” series written by her collaborator Stéphanie Richard, as well as Un yéti dans ma classe, a junior novel by Sophie Carquain published in April 2017 in the Livres et égaux collection (welcoming others and tolerance). She is also the illustrator of the comic book Awa (volume 1 published in 2021, volume 2 in 2022, also by Talents Hauts), which addresses issues of racism and sexism.
