Noémie, a mixed-race little girl, has a big sorrow: she wants to be white, white like her dad. Moved, her dad tells her the story of Boulou, the little black cat who wanted to be white. A fairy changed her color, but then no one recognized her anymore. So the fairy turned her back into a black cat, and she heard her heart beating to the rhythm of the words: “black—white—black—white,” and was able to accept herself as she was.
