Trolez Gwenaëlle

Born in 1970, Gwenaëlle Trolez studied to be a naturalist and taught for a while before devoting herself definitively to the art of collage. Her works all derive from the assembly and overlap of diverse documents, old photos, maps, stamps, and papers. Through their juxtaposition, Trolez as an artist brings out elements of the past, between the real and the imaginary. She is known for her postcards and books of illustrations sold all over France. She has published 8 works with Magellan & Co.: L’explorateur, le photographe et le missionnaire [The Explorer, the Photographer, and the Missionary]; Algérie mon amie [Algeria, My Friend]; Japan, carnet d’un explorateur [Japan: An Explorer’s Notebooks], Souvenirs de voyage [Memories of Travel], Safari, Amazonia, Safari dessine et colorie [Safari: Discover, Draw, and Color!], and Amazonie dessine et colorie [Amazonia: Discover, Draw, and Color!].
