What if pretending to be in a relationship leads to something more?
Penny didn’t expect to run into her ex, Archie, in the middle of her New Year’s Eve party. Determined to make the man who broke her heart jealous, she turns to Emmett, her friend and neighbor, who also happens to be one of the stars of the university football team. On paper, he’s the perfect fake boyfriend, just like the ones she’s always read about in romance novels.
For his part, Emmett doesn’t want a serious relationship or commitment. Although he’s overwhelmed by Penny’s idea of fake dating, his loyalty to his friend pushes him to agree to play along with her for a few weeks.
