Hector is a hamster. He likes to take naps, eat seeds, and enjoy the comfortable cage that his young owner Gregory has set up for him. One day, while struggling to open a nut, he finds himself knocked unconscious. He has a vision: his hamster ancestors summon him to reconnect with the wild. His friend Flopsy the rabbit encourages him to do so, but seems more ironic… Hector leaves his cozy nest and ends up in what he believes to be a truly authentic green space: the roundabout of an industrial park!
There he meets an amnesiac squirrel and some cheeky crows, and discovers that what he thought was life in the wild is actually quite difficult… Until he makes a welcome return to Gregory’s cozy arms and discovers a new hamster has joined the family.
