Avid musician Don Carlos is a violinist in a famous quartet. Camille is a beautiful and renowned singer. Together, they find an odd-looking egg at a flea market. When it hatches, a sort of chick comes out… with lots of teeth! They name it Salvador. The little dinosaur becomes their baby; they love, nurture, and cherish him. But the other children don’t want to play with him. So he takes refuge in music and becomes a piano prodigy at an early age.

Salvador is a magnificent fable by Richard Marnier about difference, music, and friendship, in which a little dragon becomes a great pianist. Julia Wauters’ illustrations lend striking depth and power to Marnier’s sensitive (but funny) words. A beautiful picture book!
