Homo brutus is kind to Woman. But from time to time, he hits her. Once, it’s because she drew a little horse at the entrance to the cave. Once, it’s because the fire is too hot or the sun too yellow. Or it’s for no reason at all.
But one day, for the first time, Woman doesn’t hide her face behind her arms. She doesn’t scream or cry. She stands up, trembling all over, and simply says:
“NO!”
