An extraordinary library where all the stories of the world may be found, and more
particularly the stories of all the characters having at one time frequented, from close or far, the mysterious Almayer boarding house…
This project is collective, choral, mosaic, in which 12 authors have taken up the
characters created by Philippe Debongnie, with Cyndia Izzarelli attending to the task of setting these short tales into the plot of a larger story.

Philippe Debongnie is Belgian and he lives in Brussels, where he teaches at the ESA Saint-Luc. He is an illustrator. He paints and he draws, fusing the two, brought together with imprinting and photo-retouching. The result is imaginative, creating a manufactured and slightly off-the-wall sensation, displaying orginality marked by freshness.

At a young age, Cindya Izzarelli became passionate about writing and the art of words. In parallel with her studies in translation, then in journalism, she practised theatre, singing and slam poetry. Since 2010, she has lent her pen and been the writer of diverse press titles. She is also a chronicler and radio host for the RTBF. The Almayer Boarding House, released in February 2019, is her first work of fiction.
