Nineteen-year-old Iris has been secretly in love with her best friend, Charles, since they were children. After a six-month internship in the United States, Charles finally returns to Bordeaux for the festive season. Iris is convinced that the distance will have made her realize that they’re meant to be together. But Charles is not alone at the airport: he is accompanied by Jude, an old family acquaintance. His new girlfriend. Iris’s hopes are immediately dashed. So, before leaving with him, as she does every year, to celebrate Christmas in the Pyrenees with their families, Iris lets herself be convinced by a crazy idea: what if she asked Alex, Charles’ older brother who has never been able to find his place among them, to pretend to be her boyfriend? Even crazier: what if he agreed to play along?
