Young Iliade has a wonderful gift: the power to bring words and stories to life. This gift makes her the most famous librarian in the entire kingdom of Esmeria. On the morning she receives an almost anonymous marriage proposal, she is sure of only one thing: her suitor is a member of the royal family! Determined to find out who is interested in her and, above all, why this person is offering her such an advantageous marriage contract, Iliade travels to the capital. There, she discovers the splendor of the court… and the coldness of her fiancé. Yet she eventually grows fond of him and finds herself, despite herself, thrust into the heart of intrigues and conspiracies for which she was completely unprepared.
