To escape, he also turns to his computer, phone, and TV. One day, he stumbles upon a video by Mauvais garçon, a singer with a one-of-a-kind mouth—neither a Girl’s Mouth nor a Boy’s Mouth. It’s beautiful, and it feels like a new suit of armor to him. And then there’s The New Kid and his smile.

Then comes high school. The mouths have grown and changed. Sealed Mouth’s has too. He meets Jess, who becomes his best friend. The New Kid is still there. Now he has long hair and is super stylish. Will Sealed Mouth manage to talk to him?
