Po and Zi

What if poetry’s touch of madness could help two people find each other and accept one another? Everything seems to set Po and Zi apart: their colors, their choices, their desires, their ideas, their tastes… And yet, together, they form a whole. Side by side, their personalities and characters reinforce one another; their uniqueness shines through.
In the book, Po is on the left and Zi is on the right. Represented by two complementary colors—apple green and raspberry pink—these two protagonists highlight the two facets of poetry: both strict and free. The extremely varied visuals were created using stamps (more than 150), made from adhesive foam cut with a scalpel.
With their textured appearance, the gouache prints highlight the artisanal quality of the illustrations.
