For his third picture book in this series of black-and-white photographic cutouts (following Parking de nuit and L’Autre Voyage d’Ulysse), Bruno Heitz incorporates a few touches of red that will turn the story upside down. Fortunately, Little Gray Riding Hood’s down-to-earth grandmother will set things right again…

By playing on color-related expressions (“to be as well-known as a white wolf,” “to fly into a black rage,” or “to come up empty-handed”), the author reimagines Perrault’s fairy tale while paying homage to it.
